The Flathead County Sheriff's Office Law Enforcement Explorer Program is a comprehensive youth development program and does not offer community service opportunities as a stand-alone activity. Participants are required to fully participate in the program, including meetings, training, and community service events. We are unable to accommodate court-ordered community service hours.
As part of the membership selection process, all applicants must successfully complete a background investigation. Applicants must not have any criminal arrests or convictions within the previous three (3) years. Traffic offenses are not included in this three-year requirement; however, they will be reviewed and evaluated by the Post Advisor as part of the overall application process.
